Drilling Commences at Fiddlers Creek
Summary
Diamond drilling starts this week at our Fiddlers Creek gold and silver mine, the first time the project has been drilled from surface since May 2025. This isn't speculative exploration a long way from anything: it's drilling right at the mine site, aimed at building confidence in zones of mineralisation we already know about and testing ground for future underground development.
The reason we're confident in this ground is the legacy drilling results we're releasing for the first time today. Highlights include 1.19m at 40.48g/t gold, 1.87m at 21.21g/t gold, and a striking silver intercept of 0.35m at 1,600g/t silver. These were drilled previously but never reported to the market, and they show high-grade mineralisation sitting close to surface.
This program is also part of how we're delivering on the Fiddlers Creek acquisition terms, which included a commitment to drill at least 1,800 metres over three years on the acquired ground. This near-mine campaign, at least 400 metres, is a meaningful step toward that commitment, and toward our broader goal of adding value to the assets we've taken on. We see this as one of the clearer opportunities the previous owners hadn't had the resources to chase while focused on getting production going.
The mineralisation is interpreted as remaining open along strike, down-plunge, and at depth, so there's real running room beyond what's been tested. Worth remembering that Fiddlers Creek only completes as part of the mine and mill acquisition, which still requires shareholder approval at the general meeting on 23 October 2026.
