Multiple New Structures at Irvine
Summary
New drill results at our flagship Irvine Gold Project have turned up mineralisation in three places we hadn't confirmed before: deeper at North Resolution, closer to surface at South Resolution, and for the first time in the 2km gap between the Resolution and Adventure lodes.
The North Resolution intercept, 3.92m at 4.74g/t gold including a standout 0.5m at 16.1g/t, points to a new mineralised structure below the existing resource that could add to the 398koz already defined there. These are partial assays, so we'll report further results once they're finalised and pass quality checks.
At South Resolution, drilling hit high-grade gold from 155m depth, up-dip of the main trend. Ground conditions were difficult and the hole ended while still in mineralisation, so we'll need to re-drill that target from a different angle to fully test it.
Perhaps most exciting is the first significant mineralisation found in the 2km gap between Resolution and Adventure, on the western side of the Irvine basalt. All our current JORC resource sits on the eastern side, so this hints the system may extend further than we've mapped, similar to how the nearby 5.3Moz Magdala mine has mineralisation on both flanks.
It's worth remembering these results sit outside the current JORC Mineral Resource and within exploration targets. The quantity and grade of an exploration target is conceptual: there's not yet enough drilling to estimate a resource, and we can't say for certain that further work will get us there. Drilling is continuing across these areas.
